INTRO TO YOGA

2 hour workshop – $250
A brief overview of Yoga – it’s origins, the different types popular today, and an introduction to 12 of the basic postures and how to use blocks as props. It’s a great way to get someone ready for their first basics group class.

4 session series – $800
One 90 minute class per week. In this series, students will get an overview of Yoga: it’s origins, an explanation of the different types popular today, an intro to the philosophy (8 limb system), thorough instruction through 20-30 of the most common postures (standing postures, forward folds, twists, backbends, seated postures), instruction on how to use props to make the postures more accessible, and meditation guidance and practice.


YOGA FOR LIFE TRANSITIONS

2 hour workshop – $250
An introduction to yoga as well as an explanation and short practices of breathing techniques, slow/mindful movement, restorative postures and/or guided meditation drawn form the sciences of yoga and positive psychology proven to change mental/behavioral patterns, release stress, restore strength, and renew the spirit.

4 session series – $800
A supportive class and environment for anyone going through a challenging life transition – divorce, job loss, break-up, addiction recovery, a move, starting a new chapter of life.

This workshop will be a continuous exploration of powerful practices based in the sciences of yoga and positive psychology proven to change mental/behavioral patterns, release stress, restore strength, and renew the spirit.

Classes will include: discussion, breathing techniques, slow/mindful movement, restorative postures and/or guided meditation. On occasion, simple writing/visualization exercises will be presented. There will be time set aside in each class for sharing personal experiences and to discuss the relevance of the practices in daily life. This class is designed to help heal and empower through community, support, and inspiration.

This workshop will include a brief overview of Yoga, a presentation of studies of yogic practices that have been proven to relieve situational and chronic stress. Class involvement will include specific breathing exercises, movements and meditation proven to lower stress.

4 session series – $800
This series will include a brief overview of Yoga, a presentation of studies of yogic practices that have been proven to relieve situational and chronic stress. Each class will be a deep exploration of different practices such as breathing techniques, movement, and guided meditations. Each session will include a class discussion before and following the practices of thoughts, their experiences and effects before.

YOGA FOR MOOD MANAGEMENT

2 hour workshop – $250
This workshop will include a brief overview of Yoga, a presentation of studies of yogic practices that have been proven to relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety. Class involvement will include specific breathing exercises, movements and meditation for these specific case.

4 session series – $800
This series will include a brief overview of Yoga, a presentation of studies of yogic practices that have been proven to relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety. Each class will be a deep exploration of different practices such as breathing techniques, movement, and guided meditations geared toward these mood disorders. Each session will include a class discussion before and following the practices of thoughts, their experiences and effects before.


INTRO TO AYURVEDA

2 hour workshop – $250
This workshop includes a brief history of Ayurveda – the Indian science of health and it’s relation to Yoga, a more in depth explanation of the primary tenets of Ayurveda – the 5 elements: ether, air, fire, water, earth – the combinations of these elements which known as Doshas: Vata, Pitta, Kapha which influence human constitutions, seasons, and stages of life. A brief explanation of how this science is applied to creating a balanced mind and body in a practical way will be offered and guidance on how to research one’s own personal Dosha.


AYURVEDIC DAILY PRACTICES

* Intro to Ayurveda required prior *
2 hour workshop – $250
This workshop includes a brief history of Ayurveda – the Indian science of health and it’s relation to Yoga, A review of the primary tenets 5 elements: ether, air, fire, water, earth – the combinations of these defined as Doshas: Vata, Pitta, Kapha and how they present themselves in the body/mind, seasons, and stages of life. Simple daily practices for nourishment, hydration, hygiene, and calming the mind will be presented and some practiced.
