In depth guidance and instruction of beginner level yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation, use of props, and more. Lots of care and personalized attention. Students will gain confidence and be prepared for group classes.
A continuous exploration of beginner and intermediate level yoga postures, breathing techniques, meditation, and more. A basic level of yoga experience is recommended but not required. A great confidence building class.
All Levels Deep Stretch:
Just like it sounds. A perfectly crafted class for anyone who ‘isn’t flexible enough to do yoga.’ This class will focus mainly on improving flexibility through the use of props (provided), long holds, and breath work.
Slow Meditative Flow:
A slow, fluid, and revitalizing class based on fundamental alignment and breath. A very meditative flow from one posture to the next. Some yoga experience recommended. Expect a warm up, peak, and cool down. You’ll leave peacefully energized. (We sometimes refer to this class as ‘yoga church’ ☺)
Meditation is a hugely beneficial elixir we give to our mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. It is also what the entire practice of yoga is meant to prepare us for. Each class finishes with a 15-20 minute guided meditation practice. It is a wonderful experience to sit in silence with others in a peaceful surrounding after an hour of slow breathing and movement. Meditation has a profound effect when practiced regularly. Nobody ever wishes they hadn’t meditated. ☺ Blankets, blocks, and chairs all provided.
Yoga Nidra: ‘Yogic sleep’ is a state of consciousness in between sleep and awakeness. It is state of complete relaxation of the body, while the mind stays awake. This is attained through the guidance of a facilitator. Dating over 1000 years, this practice is deeply restorative and also offers the practitioner to access levels of consciousness where perception and behavioral patterns can be shifted.
